Kelly's Canyon

We went up to Kelly's Canyon yesterday to check to see if the huckleberries were ripe yet. We saw a huge bull moose that had gotten into someone's alfalfa field on the way up! We did some hiking and had a picnic down by the river. Most of the berries were still green, but a few were ripe. We will go back to harvest them in about 2 weeks! That is good because I just used up the last of my frozen berries from last year when I made huckleberry syrup. Yummy!
